DC-93 Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 The engineers did a superb job! Highly recommended! 1
Schuesmp Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 I like that one, too. Somehow, an open-air concert recording sounds intimate. 1
Richard Vandersteen Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Another great recording by Roy Halee. It was a pleasure to see his Model Sevens and work on his M7-HPA's and discover how keen his ears still are at his age! Gold records hanging on his walls all over the place. Great sound on LP of course and fun to ask how he captured this sound on this recording. RV 4

DC-93 Posted October 26, 2024 Author Posted October 26, 2024 RV - What's the best LPs to get of this recording? Original or the latest one?

DC-93 Posted October 27, 2024 Author Posted October 27, 2024 Thank you. I was leaning towards the original. It's so well recorded, how could it be improved? Ah yes, on vinyl, of course.
DC-93 Posted October 29, 2024 Author Posted October 29, 2024 I have a mint original pressing on the way. 1
DC-93 Posted November 9, 2024 Author Posted November 9, 2024 Ok! I have the LPs in hand and hope to get it on the turntable sometime tomorrow. 1
DC-93 Posted November 11, 2024 Author Posted November 11, 2024 Beautiful. Nothing like a sealed original LP. 1
DC-93 Posted April 23 Author Posted April 23 Going to play this tonight on my improved system tonight!
Bruskie Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Well everyone, I heard it live within months of moving to NYC. Fun times!! 1 1
DC-93 Posted May 11 Author Posted May 11 That’s awesome! In 1976, I was at Olympia Stadium in Detroit to see Wings over America. There was electricity in the air. By far, the best concert I’ve ever attended. 1
