This was a reunion for these three as the trio ‘Poll Winners’ after a close to 20 year hiatus together. Very nice. Perhaps not the best recording overall, but pretty darn good.

I just picked up this beauty. Hopefully you can enlarge and read the back cover notes. It tells of how Ray first became interested in the cello, and subsequently had one built to his specifications to make it play like a bass. Ray loves the frequency band of a cello where it "... contains the lower range of a guitar and the higher range of a bass." Interesting album.
