olds1959special
I figured out how to use my DH-120's in mono mode, that is, powering each speaker separately and only sending one channel of sound to each amp. I accidentally plugged the right output from the pre-amp into the right input of the one of the Haflers and of course it didn't work in mono mode, since only the left input is active. So both of my Haflers work fine. The only downside to this setup is I can hear the differences between the sounds of the amps (they are not identical.) For some reason the left amp sounds more muffled, while the right one sounds more clear. I talked to an electronics shop about this and they said it could just be the construction of the amp. Is there a solution to this, or should I just enjoy it as is? It still sounds good.
Richard Vandersteen
The only solution would be to get two channels that sound the same. How you do this is your choice, but the Haflers were known to be variable for some reason. RV
olds1959special
Thanks Richard. I'm wondering if I get a couple of these and hire a technician to install them for me, if it would even out / improve the sound quality of the amps. https://www.ebay.com/itm/166091544090?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1-ejM-5-rTyu2ba_L5TPEuw94&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=166091544090&targetid=1587268787897&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9051873&poi=&campaignid=19894961968&mkgroupid=148855406073&rlsatarget=pla-1587268787897&abcId=9307911&merchantid=423913109&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA5-uuBhDzARIsAAa21T-VAGQY-xY04MhaXS31ZMuvggaZPHOg2eAdJKHt_WZP-Q8dfwKvWfcaAoqBEALw_wcB Edited February 25 by olds1959special
