olds1959special
How do I match amp levels? Amps A are dual Kenwood LM-05 amps (100 watts) driving the bass of my 2ci’s. Amps B are dual Fosi ZA3 Class D amps (120 watts) driving the midrange treble. The issue is, even though the Fosi amps have more power, I can’t tell if they are louder or softer (when maxed) than the Kenwoods.
olds1959special
I think the class D amps are indeed more powerful as stated by ratings so I turned those down. Edited May 24 by olds1959special

Once you know the ratio, then you could PAD down the power of the one with higher gain, to match the one with less amplifier gain. But at some point a DSP might be easier, as you can do it all digitally. Edited May 25 by Holmz
olds1959special
I just played pink noise and measured with an RTA to see the effect of the crossover and adjusted based on that. I had my treble/midrange turned up a little too much, which I suspected. Edited May 25 by olds1959special
