Jazz Standards With A New Perspective

This album from the Tyshawn Trio puts a nice stamp on some standards that are seldom recorded as of late. Strong analog feel and well recorded. His PHD in Musical Arts comes through loud and clear, or should I say smooth and rhythmic. I'm most impressed with the keyboard work. Not to detract from the bass and percussion work which I find stellar, but there is a haunting quality to the piano on this LP. Mesmerism is on Tidal and worth a stream to see if you find it as enjoyable as I do. I will say this LP will make your Vandys sing!
