We are using the VSMs as FL/FR and RL/RR.
And I am hunting for some Treos for the front.

The VLTs wandered off, finally.
A Prima Luna Dialogue HP is in the system.

I think I recognize those dovetails and dark plexi!  I have a similar era Sota sapphire that I lucked into at a local antique shop.  Even more lucky was the tonearm - Sumiko MDC-800.  That turntable and a van den Hul cart are what got me hooked (again) on analog!  What are you running on your Sota?

Originally:
SAEC 317 arm
Garrott Bros p77i MM cart.
And a ceramic headshell from Korf (which seems to work well)

I did find that the Garrott was quite nice, but I wanted to try a MC.
That created an avalanche of funds for a MC capable phono stage. I probably could have used a transformer.

I acquired a secondhand Schroder 9” arm to mount, and the rebuild stuff from Donna… bearing, motor control, etc
And an Aidas MC cart.
The tonearm board should be awaiting pick up at the post office, as it was black anodised.

It sounded great before @DividedSky… even with a shot bearing!
I borrowed the good doctor’s stethoscope and looked like a safecracker slowly spinning the platter.
t’was absolutely quiet, but the Saffire was shattered and the bearing scarred, when I disassembled it to regrease it.

Wow.  I need to check my bearing as I have developed a brief and mild "creaking"sound when the platter is first started rotating.  Was your repair hard to do?

When I reread the title of this thread, I thought you were taking your system to different states and showing it off.  Then I remembered where you live, hehe...

It is a state of chaos… Pete. 😎

But we moved, and I fly-in/fly-out for work now.

I love it.  I didn't move and I have chaos here too.

And to be honest Pete, I haven’t made a lot of progress.

Too busy on the push bike, walking the dog, and cooking for the Mrs Holmz.
Podcasts on the push bike, and some streaming from the iPad through the TV with Spotify.
