wberdan7
I recently purchased a used pair of VSM-1’s for a third system, and paired them with a set of AudioQuest CV-4 speaker cable. However, the angled spades on the AQ cable prevent the bottom feet of the VSM from making contact with the wall. Has anyone else had this problem? I’ve looked, but I can’t seem to locate a straight spade model from AQ that I can swap to fit the CV-4. I don’t have a convenient dealer nearby to ask (central Maine). Thank you for any input, Will
Richard Vandersteen
I am not sure which spade you have but the spade could be carefully bent to a smaller angle. I know they are pure copper but I'm not sure how hard they are and what the risk of them breaking would be. You don't want the weight of the speaker on those terminals long term. TomicTime
the AQ #P-10M is pretty beefy and has quite an angle, you might get away w bending it in a vise….. i greatly prefer a lower mass copper spade that stays gas tight.
