Bill
I love this series of films and this soundtrack (which I finally purchased) is just stellar. Some Ma's best work. “Primacy of number" is my favorite.
Stringreen
Did you ever hear his violin concerto? I learned to play it a few years ago ...... love it. 1
ctsooner
I’m with royalty. Real musicians. Love that. Thanks
Steve Edwards
You bring up an interesting point Peter. From the little I’ve read and heard on podcasts, many musicians are not audiophiles. I find that a bit odd, but I remember RV commenting on it, maybe in this forum. I can’t quote verbatim, but his assessment was that musicians brains work differently than non-musicians, in that they “fill in the gaps” and don’t need high end hardware to hear all the detail and nuances.

Stringreen
Musicians...not audiophiles......True. When I was in grad school for performance, my profs .....great performers told me they filled in what didn't get from their Webcor "hifi".
jkmcc
His Symphony no. 3 for strings is currently in rotation at our house. I had heard the last couple of movements on KUSC several weeks ago and had to track it down. If you have 25 minutes, it's worth a spin.
