Vandersteen owner
Hello I just purchased a pair of original Vandersteen model ones. They sound great. I was just wondering if the woofers have foam surrounds or rubber surrounds. Thank you Regards Tom
TomicTime
you can sometimes shine a bright flashlight in and see. There are also instructions the main website for cloth sock replacement, you might partially remove to check. The 1’s are a great speaker 😉 Still in production as the model 1Ci, enjoy the music Jim

(if they were chewed up by ants, or gnomes, or gremlins, then they would not sound great.) Just hook up the gear and put them to work 🤠 But I get it… A while ago I was playing a song and the sound jumped to the left speaker. I know something was wrong. Put ear buds in, and it was the recording, but I was worried for a while. Edited February 1, 2022 by Holmz
ctsooner
Richard answered this on another thread. I love learning about the history of the original 20 years of the speakers.
