Wow, I can't believe I still recognized it!

Perhaps diluting the thread, but why haven't tangential tonearms ever become more prevalent?

They seem to have geometry on their side, And, considering that tech has improved to allow a tangential tonearm to follow the grooves, why are they still rare?

Thanks for the comments, especially Tomic Time regarding having the breaker checked. My dealer that sold me the REF 10 is coming to the house to check things out. My original ARC went back to the factory 2 times. This third time they decided to give me a brand new unit. That’s the one that just lost the right channel, not even having it two weeks. I have to admit that ARC has been wonderful regarding standing behind their product. It’s just getting old. My BAT worked for 20 years with no problems other than the typical changing out of tubes. Is anyone on the thread familiar with the REX preamp with the 7’s and amps? What are thoughts regarding their sound vs ARC? I really want to stick with a tube preamp.

Thanks,

S
